MIAMI, Nov. 4, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- "Have you been FaithStruck?" This was the question as the FaithStruck Christian debut album, How I Need You, was officially released on October 23, 2011.  Many came in support that Sunday for the release party, as they watched a live performance by FaithStruck playing many of the album songs such as "Our Father" and "How I Need You."

The album is comprised of a variety of music styles to help bring diverse listeners to praise and worship.  There is a song for everyone, whether you like Rock, Acoustic, Alternative, Pop or Jazz.  A crowd favorite is the "Amazin' Grace Remix" which takes an old hymn to an upbeat pop sound.  The album has 11 original songs and 2 covers.

One reviewer, Lindsay Rigby, said  "The album is AWESOME!!! I've had it playing in my car since Sunday, and I'm not planning on changing CD's for quite some time!!"

The release has been a great success and have left many saying... "I've been FaithStruck."

FaithStruck is a one man band with David Rhugnanan singing vocals along with composition of all of the music on the album. His story starts at a young age with his love for music, but he never imagined where it would take him.

"My parents always encouraged me to play music, whether it be my mother playing every style of music she could find, to my father taking me to the store to buy my first keyboard. They ignited a fire in me that will never be extinguished. This put me on the path to becoming part of the church band playing the piano in 2001. But the story takes a twist, because back then I never sang a single note. Not to mention I was utterly a horrible singer. I always wished I could sing because I loved writing music, but without a voice, could never complete the package.

One day a woman by the name of Lynne Brown approached me. She didn't really know me, other than knowing my parents, but proceeded to tell me how the Holy Spirit put it in her heart to tell me that I would one day become a solo artist. In my skepticism I asked "Do you mean like a solo piano player?" She said "No, I mean a solo artist, singing and all." I laughed and said "Yes, except for the part of me singing, I don't sing." This resonated with in me for years as I fought it, all the while being pushed into countless (uncomfortable) positions where I had to sing. Not only that, but every step of the way was planned out as God put all the right people in my path to get this album done the right way. God is so funny isn't He? When all the pieces finally came together, it STRUCK me... I had been FaithStruck!"
