Feder to Attend Catholic Family Conference in Italy, Meet with Pro-Family Leaders in the Netherlands

WASHINGTON, May 15 /Christian Newswire/ -- World Congress of Families Director of Communications Don Feder will represent the Congress at the annual meeting of the Federation of Catholic Family Associations in Europe (FAFCE), in Rome (May 15-16).

The Federation is composed of Catholic Family Associations across the continent. Through its affiliates, it represents about 11 million families – or 40 million to 45 million individuals.

At the opening session, delegates will be welcomed by Mr. Giorgo Napolitano, President of the Italian Republic. On the same day, there will be a presentation of the Santolini Prize for Excellence in Family Research  and a declaration marking the International Day of The Family (May 15).

On May 16, delegates will have an audience with His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI.

Feder will also meet with prominent politicians, business-people and civic leaders – including representatives of the Italian Forum of Family Associations -- who have expressed an interest in organizing World Congress of Families V (2009) or World Congress of Families VI (2011).

Feder will be in Amsterdam May 18-20 to meet with pro-family leaders who have submitted a formal proposal to host WCF V, including Simon Polinder, Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee. Feder will also tour proposed Congress facilities and meet with representatives of the Dutch Convention Industry.

Feder was an editorial writer and syndicated columnist for The Boston Herald (New England’s 2nd. largest newspaper) for 19 years. Besides serving as Director of Communications for World Congress of Families, he has a media consulting firm, Don Feder Associates.
