FRONT ROYAL, Va., Oct. 11, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Human Life International (HLI) today announced the launch of its new online publication, the Truth and Charity Forum (www.TruthandCharityForum.org) as part of its educational mission as a pro-life and pro-family Catholic apostolate.

Human Life International Director of Education and Evangelization Arland K. Nichols will serve as executive editor of the new publication, and Roland Millare will serve as editor.

"The purpose of the Truth and Charity Forum is to form and inform everyday Catholics on the issues of life, faith and family," said Nichols. "As HLI's founder Father Marx wrote many years ago, 'HLI's most important service is to present the moral teaching of the Catholic Church, clear-headed analysis of what's taking place in society, and, based on its international experience, suggestions for effective ways to deal with problems.'"

"Focusing exclusively on the defense of life, faith and family, the Truth and Charity Forum will seek to teach, analyze and propose moral solutions," Nichols said.

Human Life International President Father Shenan J. Boquet said that the Forum will be a great benefit to the public for understanding Catholic teaching on life and family issues.

"As an educational apostolate, we will teach what the Church teaches as we further HLI's mission to protect and promote the dignity and sanctity of human life and the family," Father Boquet said. "The Church's teaching is rich, and the Forum will bring, among other things, Church teaching, scripture, science and life experience to bear on the issues that are core elements of our mission and relevant to our audience."

Nichols added: "It's our hope that this publication will be instrumental in producing, as Pope Benedict recently called for, 'an engaged, articulate and well-formed Catholic laity endowed with a strong critical sense vis-à-vis the dominant culture and with the courage to counter a reductive secularism which would delegitimize the Church's participation in public debate about the issues which are determining the future of American society.'"
