FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 24, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Today there are 1.17 trillion people in India; of those nearly 50% are living on less than $1 a day. These individuals are at the heart of Kenneth Maginnitty's journey as he rides a vintage Royal Enfield motorcycle across India next month to help combat poverty by raising $50,000 for endPoverty.org, a global organization dedicated to empowering the working poor around the developing world to lift themselves out of poverty.

Kenneth partnered with endPoverty.org for its vision to make a difference by empowering people to lift themselves out of poverty. endPoverty.org works with people in poverty around the world by providing small loans, business training and community development programs through a network of locally-fed organizations to equip families to improve their lives.

Australian-born Kenneth is a private chef by trade whose passion for the people of India challenged him to make a difference and raise awareness for their plight. With most people in rural India living in poverty, survival becomes the primary focus for families and education an afterthought. This forces many children to beg in the streets, resulting in a vicious cycle once they become adults without stable means to legally support themselves and their families.

If you want to join Kenneth and make a difference in the lives of the Indian people, visit www.endpoverty.org/Kenneth. All of the funds Kenneth raises will go to aid the people of India living in poverty via endPoverty.org.

Kenneth sets out for Delhi, India in early May and starts his journey on May 19 in Mumbai, with several stops in between his final destination of Kolkata where he will spend several weeks with endPoverty.org and its program's recipients. Throughout his journey Kenneth intends to befriend as many people as possible in each town he stops in. "I want to share a meal with them and remind them that they are loved and not forgotten by God or others," says Kenneth.
