Fundraiser and Auction for Injured Motorcycle Rider Dustin Willis Set for August 14th Round Rock, Texas at the Roadhouse Bar

Contact: Rocky Breon, 512-577-2678

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 11 /Christian Newswire/ -- On July 28, 2010, Dustin Willis, age 25, a husband and a new father, was riding his motorcycle to work when he had a serious accident and sustained massive injuries. He lost his ear, lacerated his scalp, and broke his back, suffering a compound fracture of 4 vertebrae and injury to his spinal cord. Rushed to St. David's Round Rock, he was in surgery for about 8 hours. A plastic surgeon reattached his ear and a neurosurgeon set steel rods and pins in his back.

Initially, at the time of the accident, he was in a coma. After he came out of the coma, he became coherent and reported feeling sensations in his leg and was able to push his toes down. Although all this is a good sign that he will be able to walk again, his recovery will take a long time. He will need extensive physical therapy. Currently, he is in a lot of pain and his back brace limits his movement. During his hospital confinement, his family also needs financial help to pay their bills and keep their home.

An auction and fundraiser will be on August 14th at The Roadhouse Bar in Round Rock, Texas, in support of the family. This public event will be located on 1103 Wonder Road, Round Rock, Texas, 78681 starting at 2PM.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness among members of the Round Rock community who would like to show their support for Dustin Willis and his family after his motorcycle accident.

Thanking everyone who has helped organize and put together this event at Roadhouse Bar in Round Rock, Jo Mariner, coordinator for the Dustin Willis Fundraiser and Benefit, said "This has truly been organized by God since day one. I have never met a man with so much strength, and a young couple with so much love for each other and their precious daughter, until I walked into the hospital and met Dustin and his wife. I held Dustin's hand and told him I was there on behalf of all his fellow bikers in the community."

Auction items and cash donations will be greatly appreciated.

For more information, please contact Jo Mariner at 512-909-1939 or Rocky Breon at 512-577-2678.

The date again is Saturday, August 14, 2010, the location is Roadhouse Bar, 1103 Wonder Road, Round Rock, 78681, and the contact telephone number is 512-218-0813.
