SEATTLE, Sept. 11 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Red Booted Chicken, by Sean McLellan, is a lovable story about a chicken that lives on a farm in Texas. The story includes several animals which the Red Booted Chicken introduces the reader to. They include his friends the goat, a Texas Long Horn, a frog and many others. Readers are also introduced to many famous landmarks throughout the state of Texas.
Originating from a story McLellan used to tell his son Sam when he was a young boy, it evolved into a story of inspiration which he wrote in his honor. The book is also dedicated to Fletcher, a friend who lived on the author's childhood farm in Texas that taught him to swim, feed the cows and work in the garden.
"This is my barn! I keep all of my supplies, tools and stuff in my barn. I also keep my truck and my tractor in the barn. The barn keeps everything dry and clean. I love my barn!"
With a simple goal of making the reader smile, The Red booted Chicken appeals to young readers between the ages of three and eight. From learning about animals and the state of Texas, this simple and unique story brings smiles to all who read.
