Stanton Healthcare Offers to Partner with Susan G. Komen Foundation to Provide Breast Exams

Contact: Brandi Swindell, Stanton Healthcare, 208-867-1307

BOISE, Idaho, Feb. 3, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Stanton Healthcare, a life-affirming medical clinic, located right next door to Planned Parenthood in Boise, Idaho, encourages Komen to give grant money to clinics that do not perform abortions.

The Susan G. Komen Foundation donated $23,000 to Planned Parenthood of Idaho in 2010-2011. But with the recent announcement that Planned Parenthood will no longer receive money from the Susan G. Komen Foundation, Stanton Healthcare seeks to partner with the Komen Foundation to provide breast cancer screenings.

Stanton has been developing a "Total Women's Wellness" program with the desire to provide breast exams in the next 12-18 months. By seeking and receiving money from Komen, Stanton could implement these life saving screenings much sooner than planned.

Stanton reminds the public that there are hundreds of medical clinics across the nation, outside of Planned Parenthood, that provide quality medical and professional care that Susan G. Komen can partner with to provide breast exams.

It is a myth to think that women's health will suffer dramatically because Planned Parenthood has been cut off from these funds.  There is nothing "magical" about Planned Parenthood. Other medical clinics provide professional care and screenings without being the largest abortion provider in the world.

Planned Parenthood already has $1,000,000,000 in assets, makes approximately $110,000,000 from the 332,000 abortions it provides annualy and receives $480,000,000 in taxpayer funding each year.

Brandi Swindell, Founder and President of Stanton Healthcare, states;

    "We applaud the Susan G. Komen Foundation for severing their relationship with Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the world.  We encourage the Komen Foundation to partner with other medical clinics around the nation, like Stanton Healthcare, that do not provide abortions.

    "There are hundreds of medical clinics across the nation that provide quality women's medical and professional care. The Susan G. Komen Foundation can and should partner with these clinics.

    "It is ludicrous and a myth to think that women's health care will suffer if the Susan G. Komen Foundation chooses other clinics to provide breast exams.  There is nothing magical about Planned Parenthood Many other clinics would provide quality and professional health care without being the largest abortion provider in the world.

    "It is troubling to see the uproar this has caused across the nation. It has revealed that the pro-choice movement is far more interested in protecting abortion than they are in protecting women from the tragedy of breast cancer."
