LOS ANGELES, May 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- Bishop George D. McKinney, Pastor of St. Stephens Church of God In Christ in San Diego California, who was nominated by President George W. Bush for  Chaplin to the Senate, has joined the board of Hosanna Broadcasting Network to serve as a Honorary Board Member, along with Ms. Angela Evans, President of Crenshaw Christian Center where Pastor Fredrick K.C. Price is the presiding Pastor and Dr. Cecilia Bryant, Supervisor of the African Methodist Episcopal Church Fifth District. They will be taking an active role in providing spiritual guidance, counseling to the board members and staff of Hosanna Broadcasting Network. They will also be providing their preaching material for broadcast. As leaders of large ministries they will use their influence to bring other leaders in the Christian community in supporting the broadcast vision of Hosanna Broadcasting Network. HBN is currently the only 24 hour Christian channel on the Worldspace satellite radio network; coverage includes Africa, the Middle East and parts of India.

"The vision of Hosanna Broadcasting Network is like a breath of a fresh air that makes you quench your thirst of wanting to save millions of souls in the world. I am very glad I am able to see this come to pass in my lifetime," said Bishop McKinney. Ms. Angela Evans added that "HBN will be the tool God uses to bring salvation to the outermost parts of the world. We are excited to be a part of this mega ministry." Pastor Terry Montgomery one of the board members of HBN said today, "We are honored to have such spiritual giants who understood the vision of HBN and embraced it."

As Hosanna Broadcasting Network continues to move ahead in its effort to spread the gospel through its 24-hour radio programming president and founder of HBN Tersit Asrat said from her Los Angeles office today, "We at HBN look forward to cultivating relationships with other Christian leaders," she continued "it is our hope that pastors and evangelists will join us in spreading the good news of the gospel to some of the most inaccessible parts of the world on Hosanna Broadcasting Network.
