VENTURA, Calif., May 29, /Christian Newswire/ -- Lars Walker's West Oversea: A Nordic Saga of Mystery, Exploration, and Faith launches the Nobel Novels imprint. Publisher Gerald Christian Nordskog promises: "More exciting, thrilling, enjoyable, and fun fictional titles to follow which ring out Saint Paul’s admonition to think on those things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy."

Since its 2006 inception, Nordskog Publishing has committed to publishing "meaty, tasty, and easily digestible books" on Christian theology, American and Church history, as well as Christ-honoring true stories of men and women of great faith. In keeping with that commitment, Nordskog Publishing now announces its new fiction line, Nobel Novels, and premiere release, West Oversea by Lars Walker.

"The Viking adventure tale West Oversea by Lars Walker is a fitting foundational choice for our new Noble Novel series," said publisher Gerald Christian Nordskog. "It is a fiction story based upon true, historical facts at the turn of the second millennium. Many of the novel's characters are based upon real Vikings, men who were courageous and indeed noble."

Prior to entering the book publishing industry, Nordskog published Powerboat Magazine, the world's leading performance boating magazine, for 37 years. Founded in 1968 by Bob Nordskog and Jerry Nordskog, the magazine was sold in mid-2005 at the peak of its success in the boating industry. Shortly after the magazine's sale, Nordskog Publishing began specializing in Christian books with the primary mission "to enhance the spiritual growth and understanding of God's Laws and truth through the Holy Scriptures."

In addition to Nobel Novels and their other current releases, Nordskog Publishing plans to expand their book offerings to moral and ethical children's books, devotional and inspirational novels, books about heroes of the faith and of the founding of the nation, and other Christian heroes.

Nordskog books are soon to be distributed in Australia, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, and eventually, worldwide.
