TOWSON, Md. Feb. 15, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Football and Faith - An Evening with Baltimore Pro Football Stars Anquan Boldin, Matt Birk and Matt Stover will take place Thursday, Feb. 24, from 7 - 10 p.m., at Martin's Valley Mansion in Hunt Valley, Md. This football-themed evening benefits Kingdom Rain, a Towson, Md.-based Christian ministry.

The event will feature a panel discussion, moderated by former Baltimore Colts standout Stan White, during which the Baltimore gridiron stars will talk about football and how their Christian faith intersects with their role as professional athletes. Other event highlights include a football-themed "tailgate" meal, a meet and greet period with the players, a silent auction, and a presentation about the work of Kingdom Rain. Former Ravens long snapper and current New England Patriot Matt Katula will also attend and host a player table.

Kingdom Rain is a fully incorporated 501 3(c) not-for-profit formed 10 years ago by Towson resident Brian Float. This fundraiser supports the organization's mission, which is to equip emerging Christian leaders to build disciple-making ministries. Kingdom Rain's small staff and volunteer corps train, coach and mentor leaders in the least reached regions of the world. It currently serves Christian leaders throughout India, and in several central Asian nations.
