PAWLING, N.Y., May 25 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Guideposts OurPrayer Ministry, part of the Ruth Stafford Peale Prayer Power Network, announces a new 30 Days of Prayer program scheduled for June 1st.
The 30 Days of Prayer Program presents a seamless way to empower individuals to include prayer in one's life through the delivery of an email newsletter, for 30 days straight, complete with a Scripture verse, prayer tip and an option for submitting a daily prayer request that will be prayed for by OurPrayer volunteers and visitors. Additionally, the initiative offers an invitation to join a 30 Days of Prayer group to share prayers, challenges and more. To sign up for the 30 Days of Prayer, please visit www.ourprayer.org/30days.
The theme for this new program is "30 Days of Prayer: Discover a Deeper Faith." The previous 30 Days of Prayer, held earlier this year in February, resulted in more than 8,000 subscribers to the 30 Days of Prayer email newsletter, with an average of 125 prayer requests sent daily. Below are samples of testimonials from the previous 30 Days of Prayer:
"Thank you for your prayer program. So many wonderful people sent me messages of encouragement that truly touched my soul and I thank God for all of you. I pray that God gives you the desires of your heart and that every need is met! Amen!"
"I had no idea how much I would get out of praying every day. The daily Scripture and messages were spot-on, perfect for my life."
"Your 30 Day Prayer Program exceeded my expectations in every way. I felt the strength of the power of prayer in ways I never did before."
"The 30 days of prayer gives people an opportunity to release the burdens and challenges of life onto the Lord, and receive immediate encouragement on a daily basis. It is a focused way of staying connected to God and the community," said Rev. Dr. Peola Hicks, Manager for OurPrayer.
OurPrayer, part of the Outreach Division of Guideposts, is a central part of the non-denominational organization. As a way to reach out and serve people in need, a live Prayer Line was set up -- and benefiting from modern technology, this ministry has expanded to the Web, Facebook, and Twitter. Whether they operate via telephone lines or their personal computer, dedicated people volunteer their time to listen to and support those in need -- offering prayers of hope in response to their requests.
