I have known Peter Waldron for nearly 30-years and I am familiar with his reputation for standing for the truth in spite of the opposition or the odds. His defense of the helpless and weak is well documented. So as his friend and a spiritual advisor I was not surprised when his phone calls reached me during his tenure with the 2012 Bachmann for President Campaign.

Peter frequently asked for prayer and guidance because Iowa staffers with families did not receive money due for over a year after the campaign. He wanted my advice with respect to multiple ethical irregularities inside the campaign. Our phone calls became a time for prayer, asking God for wisdom to navigate thru the various issues raised in the 2012 Bachmann for President Campaign.

Recently, Peter co-authored a book, "Bachmannistan: Behind the Lines" that contains facts of ethical and legal lapses inside the campaign and reveals the names of those who managed U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann's presidential campaign.

Because of this act of moral courage, Peter is again criticized by extremists on both ends of the political spectrum. I say, so what!

The truth is an anathema to the political opportunist who exploits the poor for personal advantage but truth is also a word of emancipation to the oppressed and downtrodden. The families in Iowa who contributed to Rep. Bachmann's effort know the truth and so do the elite political consultants in Washington, DC familiar with Peter's career.
