In addition, Keating has launched a Kickstarter campaign to expand the writing and publishing of still more novels covering the thriller, mystery, historical fiction, and science-fiction genres.

Keating said, "I'm a traditional Christian with a new Kickstarter. As a newspaper and online columnist, I've been fortunate to engage the public on assorted matters regarding and related to faith and theology. However, I've always been troubled by the fact that few Christians engage in our popular culture – from novels to television to streaming to movies – in a constructive way."
This Kickstarter will allow longtime readers of Keating's works to continue reading books exclusive to this campaign's backers; and new readers to jump in with these limited new releases, while also having the option to get all of Keating's previous novels and short stories.
The seven new books include two new thrillers/mysteries in the Pastor Stephen Grant series, two new works of historical fiction in the Alliance of Saint Michael series, and first books in three new series, that is, the Quinn Porter series, the Berger & Knight series, and the Decker Files science-fiction series.
Keating also noted, "My decision to write my first novel in 2010 wasn't based on making the fiction world some kind of battlefield over our culture. Instead, it was about my passion for writing, and wanting to tell engaging, interesting stories, while not being shy about naturally integrating my faith, or more accurately, the faith of my characters, in my thrillers, mysteries and historical fiction."
