Prayer Breakfast on Capitol Hill to Recognize Fathers

WASHINGTON, June 16, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- Bishop Violet Fisher to speak at the Father's Day Prayer Breakfast hosted by Douglas Memorial United Methodist Church.

The event's guest preacher, Bishop Violet Fisher, is the third African American female bishop to be appointed by the United Methodist Church. Fisher, whose career has taken her throughout the country and the world, has received many rewards for her service in the faith based community, including having received the Martin Luther King Freedom award, Philadelphia Congress Stellar Service award, National Sojourner Truth Meritorious award, and The United Methodist Church Denman Evangelism award.
