Contact: Rev. Mahoney, Christian Defense Coalition, 540-538-4741

ALBUQUERQUE, Nov. 18, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- As Rev. Patrick Mahoney walks all nine Albuquerque voting districts over the next two days, he will involve hundreds from across the nation to join him "virtually" in prayer through the internet and social media.

The name of the campaign is called "Prayer Can Change History," and people can follow and pray through things like Facebook and Twitter.

Here is the Facebook Event Page: www.facebook.com/events/662981377065916/

Rev. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition based in Washington, D.C., states:

"On November 19, for the first time in American history, citizens will have the opportunity to vote on banning late-term abortions in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

"This vote, along with other local initiatives, is just another clear example of how the pro-life movement will overturn Roe v. Wade. That is grassroots efforts chipping away at Roe's foundations until there is nothing left. The new 'template' for ending abortion is moving away from Washington, D.C. and federal solutions and focusing on local efforts where our strength and support has always been strongest.

"Throughout our history, great social movements have been sustained and carried by prayer. Ending abortion is no different. Through the reach of social media and the internet, we will be able to enlist hundreds of people from across America to ask God to intervene in this critical vote in Albuquerque and end the violence of abortion in America and restore justice, equality and human rights for all."
