OPINION, Feb. 7, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Tom McQueen, Founder, LegacyNationUSA:
Since President John Adams in 1800, the White House has been the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States. Not any more.
What we have now is a community-organizer feigning presidential aptitude while living at the taxpayer's expense in what we might as well now call, The Pinocchio House.
Little did Carlo Collodi realize when he penned the famous children's book, The Adventures of Pinocchio, in 1883 that there would be a 21st century version of the story being played out in Washington, D.C. by a presidential embarrassment.
The lies of Barack Hussein Obama and his administration are of catastrophic proportion. Here are three examples (from an assortment of hundreds) that would make even Pinocchio cringe.
- On his very first day in office the president told his staff, "Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency." Really? Why doesn't Obama ask the surviving family members of the victims of the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi what they think about that whopper?
- Remember the President's assertion that within the confines of the IRS that there is "not even a smidgen" of corruption? --- How sadly hilarious given the fact that there was a curious destruction of hard drives among IRS officials under investigation.
- And then there was "The Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration." Say what? In fact, the lethal idea to let guns slither into Mexico and be used by drug cartels to kill dozens of people commenced in October of 2009.
In a FOX news poll late last year that asked the question, "How often does Barack Obama lie to the country on important matters?" -- 81% of Americans felt that Obama lies to them at least "now and then" on "important matters."
It's time to wake-up, America! Let's pray that our great nation survives the balance of an Obama presidency characterized by deceit, lies, fabrications, and misrepresentations. In the meantime, apologize to your children and grandchildren for mistakenly buying into a "hope and change" campaign promise made by a presidential Pinocchio.
The only hope that we have now is that your vote will make a change for the better in 2016.
