LONDON, Sept. 10, 2026 /Christian Newswire/ — While speaking in London, Brandi Swindell, recently met and prayed with Fahim and his mother Farah.

Fahim sustained a brain injury in 2020 and was cared for by his mother, Farah, for five years before being transferred by the government to a care home in 2025. His mother was subsequently prevented from seeing her son for 16 months. A UK judge has now ruled that Fahim should be denied nutrition and hydration until his death.

Ms. Swindell comments:

“The actions of the UK government to deny Fahim food and water while he faces no terminal illness and is not dying are unfathomable. Fahim deserves to be returned home to his loving family, especially to his caring mother, Farah, who wants nothing more than to take care of her son.

“The world needs to face the brutal reality of what is happening in situations like this. The government does not have the right to end the life of one of its citizens, and it does not have the right to replace the family in making decisions concerning the care and support someone like Fahim needs.

“I was able to meet Fahim and pray with him during my time in London a few days ago. I was struck by the strength he embodies, the alertness of his presence, and his ability to sense and understand what is happening around him. Fahim is fully present. With my own eyes, I could see, and with my own heart, I could feel the awareness Fahim has. To deny him food and water is to end his life in the most cruel and inhumane way.

“Farah’s desire is simply to bring her son home and tenderly and lovingly care for him, just as she has from the day he was born. While Fahim’s 2020 brain injury has created challenges, he is not facing a terminal illness, and he is not dying. To remove his food and water is to deliberately end his life.

“I wish the world could see the extraordinary love in Farah’s eyes when she looks at her son. She embodies the fierce and protective love of a mother. Farah is brave, courageous, and heroic, yet in her own words, she is simply doing what any mother would do for her child. She is fighting with everything she has to save Fahim’s life.”

Ms. Swindell is launching an international campaign to save Fahim’s life called #FreeFahim. As part of this campaign Ms. Swindell is asking people of good-will around the world to post this video of Farah and her son on their social media platforms with the hashtag #FreeFahim.

Ms. Swindell goes on to state:

“It is important for the world to see and hear the injustice that is taking place and passionately work to save Fahim’s life.  Fahim’s life is valuable. Fahim’s life is strong. Fahim’s life matters, and we must speak his name.”
