Pro-life Super PAC Launches in Michigan, Highlights Romney's Pro-abortion Record

WASHINGTON, Feb. 23, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pro-life Super PAC has released a new ad featuring presidential candidate Mitt Romney, noting his abysmal record regarding the protection of human life. The Pro-Life Super PAC will begin running the ad in Michigan today, Thursday, February, 23 and will feature two spots during the broadcast of the Daytona 500. The ad can be seen in its entirety at www.ProLifeSuperPAC.com.

The ad states, in part: "Mitt Romney says he's pro-life, but actions speak louder than words."

As evidence, the group notes that during his term as Governor of Massachusetts, Romney enforced a law that required Catholic hospitals to perform abortions, appointed a notorious pro-abortion judge, and provided tax-payer funded abortions in RomneyCare.

During the 2002 Massachusetts gubernatorial campaign, Romney famously declared that he would "preserve and protect a woman's right to choose." Governor Romney cast further doubt on his position and has drawn the ire of the pro-life movement in this year's run for the presidency by refusing to sign two separate pro-life pledges -- the Susan B. Anthony List's Pro-life Presidential Leadership Pledge and Personhood USA's Republican Presidential Candidate Pledge.

"With a record of such disregard for human life, can we really trust Romney to protect the unborn?" the ad continues. "Pro-life Americans deserve a better candidate than Mitt Romney."

"The 40th year of decriminalized abortion is well underway, and our brothers and sisters in the womb are getting left behind," said Jason Jones, Spokesperson for Pro-life Super PAC. "Pro-life Americans who want to fight and win the culture wars cannot afford to nominate as their general a man who has spent his entire political career fighting for the other side. We are engaged in the greatest human rights struggle of our day, and there is simply no evidence that Mitt Romney is willing to lead us into battle."
