World's Leading Internet Evangelist Calls HBO's Maher a Gutless Blasphemous Coward and Challenges to Debate
ST PETERSBURG, Fla., March 17, 2014 /Christian Newswire
/ -- Rev. Bill Keller, the world's leading Internet Evangelist and the founder of Liveprayer.com with over 2.4 million subscribers worldwide reading the daily devotional he has written every morning for 15 years on the issues of the day from a biblical worldview, has called HBO's Bill Maher a "gutless blasphemous coward" and challenged him to a public debate after Maher's comments about God on his program this past weekend.
On that program, comedian and atheist Maher expressed disbelief that 60% of Americans are "stupid enough to believe that the tale of Noah's ark is literally true." He went on to question why people worship a God that he described as a "psychotic mass murderer." Maher concluded his rant by stating, "You know, conservatives are always going on about how Americans are losing their values and their morality. Well, maybe it's because you worship a guy who drowns babies!"
Keller actually supports Maher's right to voice his beliefs stating, "Bill Maher has every right to share his beliefs, just like I have every right to express mine. As wonderful as life is and can be, the reality is it is very brief experience and over sooner than we expect. Sadly, at the moment he takes his last breath Maher will immediately find out how wrong he was but it will be too late."
Keller went on, "According to the Bible, like everyone who reject God's free gift of everlasting life through faith in Jesus who died for the sins of all mankind, the moment Maher takes his last breath he will be cast into the flames of hell for all eternity, not because God is a "psychotic mass murderer," but because He is a holy God man has been separated from because of his sins and rebellion toward God. I find it somewhat amusing that Maher, who supports and sees nothing wrong with slaughtering innocent babies, has a problem with God "drowning babies" as part of His judgment on sinful man which is what brought about the great flood of Noah."
Keller, the world's leading internet evangelist through Liveprayer.com that he founded 15 years ago, the Daily Devotional on the issues of the day he has written every morning for 15 years on the issues of the day from a Biblical worldview that currently goes to an opt-in subscriber base of 2.4 million people worldwide, and host powerful "Liveprayer with Bill Keller" TV program seen "live" in Chicagoland on WJYS and 55 other markets "live" every Monday-Friday from Midnight-2am, was a vocal critic of the "mockumentary" Maher produced 6 years ago titled Religulous that denies the existence of God, blasphemed Jesus Christ, while claiming the Bible is little more than a book of fables.
Keller has issued an open challenge to Maher. "Maher, like his hero satan, is a typical gutless wonder who bravely runs his mouth when unopposed, but is a true coward when it comes to defending his blasphemous beliefs against someone who can articulate a case for the Christian faith like myself.
That is why his guests are the hosts from MSNBC who nobody watches, others who agree with is beliefs, along a "token" from the other side of the political spectrum who isn't equipped or willing to mentally battle him and his guests as they mock God, Christ, the Bible, and Christians in general.
Keller concluded, "I actually pray for Maher each day, since Jesus died for his sins just like He did mine. Having debated in the media and public forums all of the top supporters of killing babies, the homosexual agenda including gay marriage and adoption, atheists, apologists for cults like Mormonism and Scientology, leading Imam's from the false religion of Islam, guys like Maher are great when they can spew their blasphemy unopposed. However, when faced with someone like myself who can clearly articulate the Christian faith, their lies are exposed and beliefs fall apart. That is why I am Maher's worst nightmare and he will hide like the coward he is!"
