Military Chaplains New Military Bible Discussed by the Late Col. Jim Ammerman (Ret.) with Dr. James F. Linzey in Historic Interview

Contact: Dr. Newberry, Military Bible Association, 817-944-4081

FORT WORTH, Texas, Feb. 17, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- I recently learned that the late Chaplain Jim Ammerman, founder of Chaplaincy of Full Gospel Churches, had given what could be his final interview to Chaplain James Linzey (Ret.), president of Military Bible Association. Dr. Ammerman made revealing statements about The Leader's Bible by Military Chaplains. He permitted that interview to be recorded for accuracy.

In that interview in the summer of 2010, Dr. Ammerman stated, "I have encouraged all our chaplains not to grow stale on Jesus, but to stay abreast of things, build a good library, be true professionals in the best spiritual sense of that word, and always make the number one book the Bible. And Jim Linzey, of course, is a specialist in that area because he has produced another Bible that is going to be of great service to leaders. And we need to know that. And we, any of us, need to enhance this endeavor any way we can.

"Whom God calls, He protects and nurtures. And so if God calls you to some unusual ministry, and it is a dangerous one, do not consider it dangerous, because He still keeps His eye upon His servants and upon this planet called Earth, and especially upon American-freedom loving people. And that is why The Leader's Bible is going to be so important. Those of us who are leaders are going to go through the fire. I have been through it. Jim Linzey has been a part of standing up for the Lord at all costs."

The Military Bible Association needs regional representatives to the churches to share about the need to raise support to donate copies of The Leader's Bible to the troops. Wounded Warriors would be effective representatives, and may be the most passionate about the vision. "Anyone with a heart for the Bible and military ministry are desired as representatives. We welcome Wounded Warriors and Veterans especially," said founder Chaplain Linzey, who is currently serving as a chaplain for the Military Officers' Association of America.

Military Bible Association is seeking involvement from Wounded Warriors, Veterans, and anyone else. The Leader's Bible may be ordered now. Please visit our website and contact us.
