Priests For Life, March For Life, 40 Days For Life, Let Our Debate Begin
"Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfills the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things." –Winston Churchill

WASHINGTON, Feb. 5, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is released by Randall Terry, The Voice of the Resistance:

The acclaimed "standard bearers" of the Christian conservative right--i.e, the pro-family, and pro-life organizations--enjoy the esteem and donations of millions of concerned citizens. Groups such as Priests for Life, Focus on the Family, National Right to Life, and the Family Research Council maintain multi-million dollar budgets.

Literally hundreds of millions of dollars have been donated by well-meaning, pro-life citizens, as they respond to these organizations' pleas for money, pleas that invariably imply that election, legislative, or judicial victory will be won at the federal level if the donors simply give more of their hard-earned money.

Sadly, most of the pleas for funds come from the very groups which have vowed, by their voluntary tax-status as 501(c)3 tax-exempt, organizations, to spend, at most, 5% of their budgets on lobbying activities, and 0% on the defeat or victory of any candidates. With this sad state of affairs the battles for traditional marriage and the unborn babies continue to be lost. But the donors are unsuspecting, and the 501 organizations brazenly bilk money from them.

Among the well-established organizations that purport to be accomplishing world-changing results is Priests For Life (PFL), led by Fr. Frank Pavone, and Executive Director Janet Morana.

Recently PFL sent out another of its regular online solicitations to thousands of possible donors; sadly, the content of the letter is a case in point on why the pro-life movement is losing the battle to end the slaughter of the innocents.

In his daily TV show, The Voice of Resistance, Randall Terry critically analyzes the PFL fundraising email, and calls for "donor discernment." The Voice of Resistance airs daily on TheWalkTV affiliates across the country; the shows will air again on February 5th. (See TV affiliate list at www.TheWalkTV.com)

Randall Terry states:

"It is time – as unpleasant as it may be – to have the discussion publicly regarding fraudulent fundraising, and the abject failure of the pro-life movement and the religious right specifically because of the limitations placed on 501c3 tax exempt groups. Babies continue to be slaughtered by the millions, while tax-exempt groups raise money promising the 'victory' they can never achieve by virtue of the shackles of the IRS. My use of the recent Priests for Life fundraising letter as a 'model' of this debacle is not personal, nor is it meant as an attack against PFL. However, this debate must occur, and Priests for Life is part of the fabric of the problem, not the solution."

We keep in mind the words of Winston Churchill:

"It is no use saying, 'We are doing our best.' You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary."

"Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen."

"However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results."
