DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 30, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Ohio is the "Ground Zero" of the Presidential election season and Operation Rescue and the Christian Defense Coalition are meeting with faith and pro-life leaders around the state praying for God's direction and guidance in the elections.

    Event Details:

    Group to hold prayer vigil in front of Dayton City Hall on Wednesday, October 31, at 12:00 P.M.

    The Dayton, Ohio City Hall is located at
    101 West Third Street in Dayton.

The groups are also praying that candidates who embrace life, human rights for all and stand against the violence of abortion are elected to office.

Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition in Washington, D.C., comments;

    "This is the most important Presidential election since 1860 and Ohio is the most critical state in the nation.  We are traveling throughout the entire state praying and meeting with faith and pro-life leaders.

    "Sadly, President Obama has become the most pro-abortion President in America history and has trampled on human rights and equal justice for all.  As we go across the wonderful State of Ohio, we are praying for a President that will end the violence of abortion, embrace human rights for all and end this tragic war on women.

    "We are praying in Ohio because it is clear whomever wins Ohio will be the next President of the United States."

Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, states,

    "We are at the critical last-minute push for God to remove the most pro-abortion President in America's history.  We are praying non-stop, in the battleground State of  Ohio, for the Lord to move in power and strength.

    "We believe there is always one more thing we do to impact this election-and that is prayer!"

Bryan Kemper, Youth Outreach Director for Priests for Life, adds;

    "As an Ohio resident and father of seven children, I feel this is the most important election in my lifetime.  I am joining this prayer vigil because our nation needs a true message of hope that we can only find with God.

    "We will be seeking God and crying out for our leaders no matter what their political affiliation is."
