DALLAS, Sept. 9, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ --The International Pentecostal Holiness Church recently completed its 27th General Conference. General Conference is held every four years. The International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) is a worldwide denomination made up of more than 11,000 churches comprising more than 2 million members.

The vision statement of General Conference and the IPHC for the next four years is "Place of Hope, People of Promise." The statement is based on the passage from Isaiah 54:2-3. During General Conference, the IPHC also laid out its seven core values. Those values are Scripture, Pentecost, Holiness, Christ's Kingdom, All Generations, Justice, and Generosity.

The IPHC has four Executive Bishop offices: General Superintendent, Evangelism USA, World Missions, and Discipleship Ministries. Bishop A.D. Beacham Jr. was elected as General Superintendent. Bishop Chris Thompson was elected as the Evangelism USA Executive Director. Bishop Talmadge Gardner was elected as the Executive Director of World Missions. Bishop Thomas McGhee was elected as the Executive Director of Discipleship Ministries. While the IPHC has been in existence for over 100 years, this was the first time that all four executive positions have been voted into office unopposed and by acclamation.

During the 27th General Conference, the IPHC took an official stance opposing and condemning human trafficking. The IPHC is committed to doing everything within its power to see that all people are set free from slavery. In fulfilling the core value of justice, the IPHC dedicated itself to helping the least and lowest around the world.

During General Conference, the IPHC also reaffirmed their commitment to the Christian understanding of marriage. The IPHC believes strongly that marriage should only be a union between one man and one woman.
