Southern California Pro-Life Leader Taking Fight to University of Notre Dame

Will Protest Notre Dame's Undermining of Right to Life Teachings, and is Available as Guest Speaker

ANAHEIM, April 29 /Christian Newswire/ -- "The University of Notre Dame's honoring of pro-abortion Barack Obama on May 17 will be a disaster for America's preborn babies and for Catholic pro-life teachings.  That's why I'll be in South Bend to protest."

So said Kenneth R, Fisher, the founder and chairman of Concerned Roman Catholics of America, Inc. (CRCOA), as he announced his plans to join in pro-life protests on the weekend of May 16-17 against Notre Dame's hosting of Obama.

"Obama will mislead Notre Dame's graduating class," said Fisher.  "He will make it sound as if Catholics can support the continued legalization of aborting babies, and he will pretend that he can reduce the number of babies aborted - even though every single one of his policies and his personnel appointments is geared to increasing abortion."

"Obama will try to weaken Catholics' efforts to protect the babies, so why is the president of Notre Dame, Fr. John Jenkins, giving him a forum to do that?" asked Fisher.

Fisher said that during his weekend in the Midwest, May 15-17, he will stay at the Chicago home of Joe and Ann Scheidler of the Pro-Life Action League.

Fisher also announced that in between protests that weekend, he will be available to speak to groups in the Chicago area on another topic:  Why all pro-lifers and faithful Catholics must oppose Los Angeles Cardinal Roger Mahony's annual Religious Education Congress, the world's largest training event for Catholic schoolteachers.

"Many of Cardinal Mahony's invited speakers are not objectionable, but too many are pro-'gays,' women-priest advocates, New Agers and anti-Pope rebels," Fisher warned.  "They tell Catholic educators what to teach, and then the teachers go home and infect innocent Catholic children with those errors."

"Why is Cardinal Mahony promoting such speakers?" Fisher asked.  "Shouldn't a cardinal make sure his speakers are loyal to the Church?"

Fisher said anyone interested in hearing him speak may contact him at: crcoa@dslextreme.com. Call him at: 714-491-2284 or on his cell phone, 714-260-3821, from now through the weekend of May 15-17.
