GAINESVILLE, Ga., July 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- Adventures in Missions (AIM), a non-profit organization that facilitates short-term mission trips throughout the world and within the United States, is pleased to introduce the "Be Conference." This free ministry and missions conference is open to anyone in lay or vocational ministry. The "Be Conference" is an invitation to those who have spent too much time and energy striving in their ministries to rest. Participants will spend time in prayer, worship and discussions that will empower each person to freely minister in ways that better complement their gifts and callings.

The "Be Conference" is being offered on various dates and in various cities throughout the U.S. starting in the fall of 2009 and running through the spring of 2010. Cities include Atlanta, GA; Springfield, MO; Houston, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Dallas, TX; and Chicago, IL. The first conference begins September 18, 2009, in Atlanta, GA and the final conference wraps up April 30, 2010, in Chicago, IL. Visit the website at www.BeConference.org for the dates and locations nearest you.

These one-day conferences start at 8:30 AM and run till 4 PM. The "Be Conference" is open to anyone in professional or lay ministry who is passionate about outreach, discipleship and worship. It is not limited to people who have gone on AIM trips. The "Be Conference" is free, however, interested participants should apply online before arriving, as space is limited. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided by AIM, but participants are responsible for their own lodging and travel.

"We're always seeking new opportunities to pioneer in the world of missions. This year, we are doing something new with how we help churches prepare for mission trips. Instead of inviting people to a day of informational sessions, we are opening up a free conference to anyone who is interested in missions, listening prayer or going deeper in God," said Matthew Snyder, Adventures in Missions staff member.

"This free conference had a huge impact on me," said Matt Troyer, Youth Pastor of World Gospel Church in Terre Haute, Indiana. "Instead of just teaching me, this conference modeled the attitude I needed to have for this trip. It was phenomenal. It gave me a great picture of what Adventures in Missions is all about and prepared me for my trip to Belize in ways I couldn't fathom. Everyone should attend this amazing conference." Visit www.adventures.org/beconference to see video testimonial from Matt Troyer.

Visit www.BeConference.org for dates, locations and to register for the conference.

Adventures In Missions (AIM) is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. They emphasize prayer and relationships in their work amongst the poor. Since being established in 1989, AIM has taken over 80,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer. Through 14 bases around the world, AIM has year-round ministry to places where "the least of these" are found. AIM believes that by giving people the opportunity to hold orphans, bring hope to the hopeless, and pray for the sick, lives are transformed.
