Kyria Challenging Women to Make Room for Rest This Christmas Season

Contact: Ginger Kolbaba, 630-260-6200, gkolbaba@christianitytoday.com

CAROL STREAM, Ill., Nov. 25 /Christian Newswire/ -- With Christmas season here, Kyria has centered the December issue of their digizine on making room for rest. This issue is for women who, especially during the holidays, need a reminder that God says that rest is good and wants everyone to find a divine rhythm between work and rest.

Featured is an interview with Ruth Haley Barton, a spiritual director and author of numerous books on spiritual transformation, whose life was turned upside down when a spiritual director observed where her life was headed and she decided she needed to incorporate the discipline of rest.

Editor Ginger Kolbaba says, "In this issue of the Kyria digizine, we focus on why it's essential physically, mentally, and spiritually to give yourself a break every single day. And then we'll help you figure out how to incorporate those times of reprieve into your daily life. Rest isn't a once-in-a-blue-moon luxury. It's a way of life--one that we need to diligently pursue if we're to be true followers of Jesus."

The December issue of the Kyria digizine is open-access for everyone to view and share, and features the following pieces:
