Local group adds their support for the troops to Department of Defense program

WASHINGTON, July 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- Wear The Message, Inc. announced today that it has officially joined America Supports You, an ongoing, nationwide Department of Defense program to showcase and communicate America's support for the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. Wear The Message has started a new program titled "Sponsor-A-Shirt for a Soldier." US Soldiers will receive free Christian T-shirts through the generous donations from the Christian community, Christian business owners, Churches, and other organizations.

"We are thrilled to welcome Wear The Message to the America Supports You team," said Allison Barber, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs. "Their dedication to our service members is truly inspiring, and we are so happy to have them on the team."

To date, Wear The Message has shipped sponsored Christian T-shirts to our Soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, as well as to other US military bases. Tim Stine, President of Wear The Message stated that "These shirts will be distributed by Military Chaplains to US Soldiers who are in need of comforting, blessing, and even a way to share their faith with their fellow soldiers." Chaplain Jasiurkowski of the 87th CSSB said "Thank you very much for supporting our troops. This is very encouraging that the American people support us and appreciate our sacrifices. God bless your ministry. These T-shirts will help to keep high morale of our soldiers as well as remind them about Christian values."

Wear The Message is now one of almost 250 non-profit organizations that have joined America Supports You to enhance their local and national services to our active duty military members.
