JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- MegaVoice announced today that the number of Scripture messages in its Scripture audio library has increased over the past six months to more than 7,000. Scripture messages in 4,600 languages are currently available to MegaVoice ministry partners for use on the Ambassador Classic digital audio player. Audio Bibles, New Testaments, God's Story, The Story of Jesus, and the Mini Bible College are just a few of the audio resources available.

MegaVoice began developing a solid-state audio Bible in 1989, nine years before the appearance of the first commercially available MP3 player. The goal was to help fulfill the Great Commission by reaching more than half the world's population that cannot read, by using digital audio. The result was a rugged, solar-powered audio Bible called the MegaVoice.

"Today, MegaVoice audio Bibles are being distributed in many languages world-wide by partnering Christian missions and ministries," said MegaVoice CEO, Charles Cibene. "And we have a huge audio library of Scripture resources in thousands of languages to help our partners finish the task."

Partners' messages are loaded by the MegaVoice audio team onto the Ambassador Classic. Messages can stand alone or be blended together with any Scripture message in the audio library. Dozens, hundreds, even thousands of Ambassadors loaded with Scripture content can be produced in a relatively short period of time.

Unlike commercially available audio players MegaVoice messages are tamperproof, meaning that end users cannot erase or modify its messages. Non-readers and the visually impaired find the MegaVoice easy to use because its navigational pad requires no digital screen like those found on MP3 players or cell phones. A simple system of raised buttons on the MegaVoice helps the user navigate intuitively through hours of Scripture messages.

"Week after week we keep adding more Scripture messages and languages to our audio library so that every man, woman and child will finally have the opportunity to hear the gospel in their own language," said Mr. Cibene. "Every message and language we add to the audio library brings us closer reaching that goal."
