BOWIE, Md., Nov. 15, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- Liberty Music, an independent gospel label, releases the highly anticipated debut praise & worship album, "Heart of a Worshiper," from solo recording artist Javon Inman. Inman, who celebrated the release in concert on 11/11/11 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area before a packed house of 400+ guests, has been a budding singer/songwriter for years!

"Heart of a Worshiper" invites listeners on a worship experience on the 12-track album with every song written by Inman. The project is comprised of traditional and contemporary gospel music and some smooth jazz undercurrents with soulful lyrics. Inman collaborated with noted singer, musician, and producer Tyrone Powell to musically arrange three tracks. Clifford R. Flowers (pianist), also new on the gospel scene, musically composed eight of the twelve songs. Heavy-hitters Todd Gholar (bassist), David Smalls (guitarist), and Duane Gray (drummer) lent their musical talents on the album, as well. Other musicians such as the phenomenal brass section, Mo’ Horns, exceptional saxophonist, David Tauler, and the gifted cellist, Katie Chambers, each anointed two tracks with their own flavor.

The HIT song "Joy" has already created quite a stir while "Come Home" has pulled the heart-strings of listeners.

Music has been a driving force for Inman since his childhood. At the age of four, he began singing in his grandfather’s church in Massillon, OH (New Life C.O.G.I.C.). His parents recognized early on the gift of music with which God favored their son. As a teenager, Inman was a member of a singing group where he penned his first song at age sixteen. Now, with over 200 original songs credited to his name, the 34-year-old is releasing his project which gives voice to his faith through "Heart of a Worshiper."

Inman summarizes the motivation for releasing "Heart of a Worshiper:"

"Obedience. This album was an act of obedience to the Lord. When I relinquished my own will for that of the God's, I uncovered a world of benefits through true worship. My purpose was enlarged –to start wildfires of worship through pure, unadulterated gospel music where the only thing that matters is whether or not God is smiling."
