Christianity with a Cutting Edge - One Woman's Calling Shakes the View of What Ministry Looks Like

Contact: Monica Kinnaird, 323-678-6258, www.chosenphotography.com, www.himofthegarment.com

MEDIA ADVISORY, April 21 /Christian Newswire/ -- Southern California resident Monica Kinnaird originates from Jeffersonville, Indiana. The 38 year old, divorced mother of two (the youngest diagnosed autistic) is the owner of Chosenphotography. It is an unusual visual ministry, rooted in Faith and service.

"The Lord gifted me in the area of photography. I intend to share that gift to glorify His name. There is something so phenomenal about creating something Biblical that manifests through prayer and meditation. Then when someone's spirit is touched by it that humbles me to be the vessel He has chosen to use."

Recently, Kinnaird has brought forth 'Him of The Garment'. People may wonder how the photography branched off into the clothing line and how the vein of "Ministry" runs through both.

"I am a Christian first. I am also a mother, a consumer and someone who takes very seriously what I put on. Wearing someone's product is more or less an endorsement of what they're selling. I've been disappointed to see so many of our youth wearing skulls (which represent death) on their chests. I endorse LIFE, faith in Jesus Christ."

The response has been overwhelming. The youth are excited about the designs, such as the "Ain't But 1G" Hoodie (meaning one God). "It is great to see the kids 'GETTING' the message and being excited about sharing it. Even in our own youth, the spokes models, I have seen their lives transformed and their faith and relationship with God strengthened. When we do events and they share their testimonies it is so good to witness God using these young people to minister to their peers."

Monica and the youth visit churches and organizations and give what they consider a call to The Great Commission. They incorporate a visual, musical display of portraiture followed by a fashion show to contemporary Christian music. Then, she and the youth all give their testimonies and hold a "town hall" type dialog with everyone in attendance.

"The goal is to use these visual ministries to praise Jesus Christ. Everyone has something to give that is theirs alone. We want to inspire people to service. We also want for people to see how cool, how edgy, how innovative GOD is...and how much His people love Him."
