HOUSTON, Texas, April 23 /Christian Newswire/ -- John Ortberg and Michael Frost will be speaking at the second annual Presbyterian Global Fellowship Conference, August 16-18, 2007 in Houston, Texas.

John Ortberg is currently the Teaching Pastor at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church and was formerly the Teaching Pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in the Chicago area.  John is the author of If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat and The Life You've Always Wanted: Spiritual Growth for Ordinary People. John will be speaking about what it means to be missional in a western church culture that has a consumerism mentality.  He will help leaders understand what it means to help congregations think globally as they guide members in the stewardship of their gifts and resources.

Michael Frost is Founding Director of Centre for Evangelism & Global Mission at Morling Theological College in Sydney, Australia, and author of 6 books including Exiles (2006). Michael has been on the forefront of defining "missional" for the past few years, authoring several books on the subject and speaking internationally about missional ministry and culture.  He has also planted missional communities and fanned similar projects around the world.

Now in its second year of life, PGF seeks to be a network of relationships, ideas and best practices that equip congregations within the PCUSA and the greater body of Christ.  This year's conference is entitled "Inside-Out" and will encourage staff, elders, lay leaders and pastors to begin to form their ministries around being inwardly strong and outwardly focused.
