HOUSTON, April 12, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Kingdom Racing heads westward into Sunday's famed Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach (3:30pm ET on NBC Sports Network) with strong momentum after Schmidt Hamilton Motorsports and driver Simon Pagenaud scored an impressive Top 5 finish in the Honda Grand Prix of Alabama on April 1st. The fifth place finish follows a sixth at the season opener in St. Petersburg, Florida and places the HP driver fifth overall in the season championship standings.

The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will mark Kingdom Racing's third race in their first full season of INDYCAR competition. "The beginning of the season has been impressive, both on and off track. God has already used us in ways we could never have anticipated, given Kingdom Racing incredible visibility, and we're only two races into the schedule. Whatever He sends next is sure to be amazing," proclaimed Team Director Charles West. "The results both on and off track have been superb, but we expect that the best is yet to come this year," added Kingdom Racing founder and owner, George del Canto.

About Davey Hamilton:
Davey's racing career almost ended on June 9, 2001 following a devastating crash at the Texas Motor Speedway. After 23 operations and two years of rehabilitation, Davey returned to Indy Car racing at the 91st running of the Indianapolis 500 in May 2007 and finished 9th. Davey's strong faith and determination to once again race in the 500 were instrumental in securing a partnership with Kingdom Racing.
