Are You a Republican Woman?

FRONT ROYAL, Va., Oct. 9, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Life Decisions International (LDI) has announced the creation of a new project that aims to challenge the myth that the Republican Party has launched a so-called "war on women." The key part of the new effort involves the collection of videos from Republican women, which are combined to make a longer video.

LDI has already released Part 1 of "The War on Women -- Republican Women Fight Back!" Each video in the series will have an introduction of less than 4 minutes, followed by video clips submitted by Republican women from across the country. Part 1 may be viewed on YouTube or Vimeo.

Why did LDI begin the new project? "It became clear that neither the Republican Party nor the Romney Campaign were going to challenge the 'war on women' rhetoric coming from radical feminists and others on the far left," said Stefanie Lewallen of Memphis. Tenn., who is serving as director of Republican Women Fight Back! "We want to make sure our voices are heard."

Lewallen said the very thought of a GOP "War on Women" is ridiculous. "People just need to stop and think for a moment. Millions are women are members of the Republican Party. Many Republican women are elected officials. Do the people of the far left actually think we would all stand by and let our own political party wage war against us? That's absurd."

Republican women are encouraged to submit a video clip for inclusion in an upcoming video in "The War on Women -- Republican Women Fight Back!" series. "We want to hear from you," Lewallen said. "LDI is working on more videos right now and we hope to include segments from as many women as possible."

Lewallen said that video submissions should be kept to less than 20 second long. Each clip begins with the woman saying, "I am a woman. I am a Republican. And the so-called 'War on Women' is...(she completes the sentence in her own words)." Videos should be sent to media@fightpp.org, with "War on Women" in the subject line. In the body of the email please provide your first name and last name initial (such as "Bonnie T."), as well as your city and state. Don't forget to attach the video.

Topics to address include economics, birth control, the right to life, education, judicial activism, political dishonesty, and so forth. Women may feel free to submit more than one video so more than a single topic is addressed.

This is not LDI's first project involving the production of videos. Last month the organization released a video titled, "Obama-Romney & Abortion Extremism." It is the first in a series that will address the television and radio commercials being run by the Obama/Biden Campaign on abortion -- ads the Romney/Ryan Campaign is either too frightened or unequipped to counter. "Obama-Romney & Abortion Extremism' may be viewed on YouTube or Vimeo.
