BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Jan. 21, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- On the morning of January 21, the day before the Anniversary of Roe v. Wade, two women were taken by ambulance from the New Woman All Women Abortion Clinic located in Southside Birmingham, AL.

According to several witnesses, an ambulance first arrived at 9:31 a.m. but left shortly after without removing any patients from the clinic. At 10:21 a.m., less than an hour after the first ambulance, two more ambulances and another emergency vehicle returned to the abortion clinic. Witnesses said one of the women brought out by the EMTs appeared to be unconscious and bleeding. She was placed in an ambulance and transferred to a medical facility. A second woman emerged with an oxygen mask and was transported to the ambulance in a wheelchair. It is presumed that she was also taken to a nearby medical facility.

Witnesses also said that one of the women had to be carried through a narrow hallway by the attendants, possibly because the hallway was too small to navigate with a gurney.

The American public is continually told that abortion in America is safe and legal, but today in Birmingham AL at least two more women were injured at an abortion clinic. This adds to the growing number of women injured in America's abortion facilities.

The public should be grateful that the pro-life community remains vigilant and attentive on the sidewalks of abortion clinics so that unfortunate events such as this do not go unreported.
