Students Removed from Speaking at Graduation Due to Religious Beliefs

PACE, Florida, May 22 /Christian Newswire/ -- Rev. Joey Rogers, Pastor of Pace Assembly Ministries, in Pace, FL announces today he will host a "Student Rights Rally" at Pace Assembly Tuesday, May 26 @ 7pm. This rally is in response from a federal judge's ruling on prayer in Santa Rosa County, FL schools. Two seniors from Pace High School have been removed from speaking at their own Graduation Ceremony to avoid any reference to their personal religious beliefs.

Students, area ministers, and community leaders are taking a stand against this ruling. This rally in an effort to show support for the graduating students of Pace High School, Principal, Faculty, Staff.

Baccalaureate service for Pace High School is scheduled for May 28, 2009, 7pm at Pace Assembly Ministries. The two students that have been removed from speaking at the Graduation will speak at the Baccalaureate Service.
