Karen Diebel (FL-24) Secures Major Endorsement from Catholic Families Group
CFA Executive Director: "It is rare, especially in these crassly cynical times, for voters to have such a superb choice as Karen Diebel to represent them. Voters who care about traditional values, sensible tax policy, and preserving the Constitution have an A+ candidate in Karen."

WASHINGTON, Nov. 16 /Christian Newswire/ -- Today, Karen Diebel, U.S. House of Representatives candidate for the Republican nomination in the 24th District of Florida, secured the endorsement of Catholic Families for America (CFA), a national grassroots organization of lay Catholics.

"As we scan all 435 House races for candidates who will defend American families from the fiscal and moral foolishness in Washington, we find in Karen Diebel someone who absolutely embodies a pro-family agenda," said Dr. Kevin Roberts, executive director of CFA. "She will be an articulate voice for the people of her district, and for all Americans who are concerned about the fiscal and moral bankruptcy of our nation."

Catholic Families for America is a national public advocacy group with offices in Washington, D.C., and Austin, Texas. The organization is also building a network of state chapters in anticipation of the 2010 midterm elections.

"Karen Diebel is the 'genuine article' for conservatives--a dedicated mother who has accepted her calling to share her time and talents as a public servant," Roberts continued. "Our republic needs more leaders like Karen, who understand the frustrations of the average American, to offset the Washington Beltway crowd."

Roberts also cited a Catholic voter outreach model that his organization will use in 2010, which CFA will deploy in several dozen House districts, including Florida-24. CFA is currently in the midst of a major fundraising campaign that will underwrite that effort.

The GOP primary will be held August 24, 2010, with the general election following on November 2, 2010.
