WASHINGTON, Jan. 27, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- With the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary just days away, National Right to Life is pleased that every major Republican presidential candidate has taken a pro-life position. National Right to Life today issued a call to pro-life voters to turn out and make their voices heard and their presence felt in the nomination process for president.

"Every major Republican presidential candidate has taken a pro-life position, and the Democratic candidates have taken an extreme pro-abortion position," said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. "Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders would continue to push the radical Obama abortion agenda if elected. In stark contrast, every one of the Republican candidates has said he or she would use the power of the presidency to protect the most vulnerable members of our society."

In preparation for the primary season, National Right to Life has developed a two-page informational flier that lays out the positions of the Republican and Democratic candidates on the issues of Roe v. Wade and abortion, protecting pain-capable unborn children, and funding of Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest provider of abortion.

The two-page flier is available on the National Right to Life website here:

"The Obama presidency is a grave reminder to every pro-life voter that elections have life-and-death consequences for mothers and their unborn children," Tobias said.  "Even after seven disheartening years of pro-abortion policies from the Obama Administration, the right-to-life movement stands strong and is ready to protect our pro-life majorities in Congress and elect a pro-life president."

Founded in 1968, National Right to Life, the federation of 50 state right-to-life affiliates and more than 3,000 local chapters, is the nation's oldest and largest grassroots pro-life organization. Recognized as the flagship of the pro-life movement, NRLC works through legislation and education to protect innocent human life from abortion, infanticide, assisted suicide and euthanasia.
