Howard Center President Allan Carlson to Retire

ROCKFORD, Ill., July 13, 2015 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Howard Center for Family, Religion & Society announced today the retirement of its President, Allan Carlson, effective this month. He has held this post since the formal launch of the Center in February 1998.
 
"For several years I have anticipated retiring on reaching the age of 66," Dr. Carlson explained. "The Center has exciting opportunities ahead and it is time to bring in a new leader with vision and energy." He added: "It is also time for me to focus on several research and writing projects that I have had to put to the side."
 
Wayne Tew, Chairman of the Howard Center's Board of Directors, thanked Dr. Carlson for his seventeen years of service in this post. "Allan Carlson has our gratitude for building the Howard Center into a leading institution of the pro-family cause," he stated. "I am glad that he will continue to be involved with our Center's work in other ways, including continuing to serve as Editor of The Family in America: A Journal of Public Policy and as a speaker at World Congress of Families events."
