YORBA LINDA, Calif; June 16 /Christian Newswire/ -- A wedding ring donated to a local charity completes its final lap this week when it is sold, along with other donated rings, as part of With This Ring's online auction.

Jana Trabert, a self-described "typical Orange County housewife," had been carefully designing and upgrading her wedding ring for 15 years when, after attending a fundraising banquet, she and her husband donated it to With This Ring, a charity that promotes radical giving and uses the funds to provide clean water to African villages.

But the donation is just the beginning. For this donation to accomplish its intended goal of drilling clean water wells in Africa, it must be sold. So, With This Ring is hosting its first online auction this month, offering this ring, along with 21 other donated rings -- wedding sets, anniversary bands, engagement rings -- up for bid.

With This Ring was founded two years ago by another Orange County housewife, Ali Eastburn, who donated her own ring to drill a well in Africa. Since then, she says, "I've seen an astonishing wave of generosity. Men and women are changing the world through radical giving." So far, the charity has funded 13 wells in Africa, helping villages to eliminate many of the illnesses and problems caused by malnutrition and a lack of clean drinking water.

And, Eastburn invites others to join in this project by visiting the auction and buying a ring -- helping this ring and many others make their final lap and ultimately help drill clean water wells for villages in Africa.
