NEW YORK, Nov. 4, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- On Thursday, November 6, the Center for Christian Business Ethics Today will be launching its nonprofit Foundation at a special event to be held at Orsay (1057 Lexington Ave, New York) from 6:30 – 8:30 PM.

The Center for Christian Business Ethics Today (the Center) was established in 2009 to address the need for the application of Christian principles to strengthen business operations. After building a network of Christian business leaders, the Center increasingly saw a need for traditional biblical research that could be used to mold a more biblically-sound culture within Christian business practices.

Because of this, The Center for Christian Business Ethics Today Foundation (Foundation) was formed to commission research for presentation, publication, and encouragement of the business community on how Christianity affects business and commerce. Teaming with the Center, the Foundation's work will be presented at annual conferences, regional presentations, and published in various books and journals.

At the November 6 event, the first request for proposals (RFP) will be issued. The purpose of the RFP is to develop research around the Second Commandment – thou shalt not make for yourself a carved image – that integrates the research findings into business practices.

At the Center's annual conference, the research papers will be presented to the attendees in both workshop sessions for interactive instruction and in full conference keynote presentation. After the conference the papers will be published in a conference anthology, some will be published in professional journals, and some will be published in standalone or other short books, both for reading and for group study.
