'Let's Honor Agents Ramos and Compean on Ramos' 40th Birthday February 5, 2009,' Urges Catholic Ramos-Compean Supporter 'Joan of America'

MEDIA ADVISORY Jan. 30 /Christian Newswire/ -- "The recent commutation by former US President George W. Bush of the unjust prison terms of Border Patrol agents Ignacio 'Nacho' Ramos and Jose Compean is indeed a great victory," declared Catholic Ramos-Compean supporter Ms. Holly Dutton of Dallas, TX. A member of Citizens for Immigration Reform (CFIR), Ms. Dutton has become known locally as "Joan of America" because of her relentless public advocacy for the agents during the past 18 months.

"Countless American patriots and loyal legal residents persevered in prayer and sacrifice to help free Ramos and Compean. At times the struggle seemed endless and hopeless. But, in the end, God heard our prayers for the agents, got through to President Bush just in time, and justice was served. And while it's frustrating that Ramos and Compean must serve another two months before being freed, surely that is far better than another ten years," Ms. Dutton observed.

However, during this final hiatus of captivity comes a milestone event for Agent Ramos--his 40th birthday next week on Thursday, February 5, 2009. Despite intensive efforts currently underway to help free the agents immediately, it is highly likely that Ramos may still be incarcerated on this landmark date of his life.

All the more cause to celebrate, Ms. Dutton affirmed:

"Let's reassure Ramos and Compean that we the people remember them by honoring the agents on this special occasion. Let us openly and warmly acclaim and appreciate these two great fellow patriots. For we are all forever beholden to Ramos and Compean for their generosity and courage in bravely serving and protecting us."
