Abortion Botch, Citations Show Predatory Nature of Abortion

MILWAUKEE, Nov. 30 /Christian Newswire/ -- On the same day that news surfaced of an Alabama abortion mill that was cited for violating ten state laws, a Wisconsin pro-life group is reporting they have documented an abortion injury requiring emergency hospitalization.

"These two incidents show the predatory nature of abortion today, and illustrate the need to protect women and their babies by bringing an end to abortion in our nation," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.

Missionaries for the Pre-born's Matt Trewhella said in a statement released today that members of his group photographed an ambulance at Affiliated Medical Services in Milwaukee on Tuesday. According to Trewhella, the ambulance arrived "with lights flashing and siren roaring" then transported a woman to the hospital who reportedly was suffering from a perforated uterus – a potentially life-threatening abortion complication.

But the abortion injury seemed to have little impact on the abortion workers, who displayed a cold callousness for the plight of the seriously injured woman. According to Trewhella, "Clinic workers were later filmed laughing and joking outside the abortuary."

Meanwhile, a Huntsville, Alabama abortion clinic was cited during a surprise inspection last month for violations of ten state laws that included forwarding after-hours emergency calls to non-medical personnel, routinely failing to document the gestational age of the pre-born baby, and releasing abortion patients after less than the required 20 minutes in recovery.

Despite the citations, the abortion clinic remained open, and no fines are expected to be levied, something Operation Rescue considers irresponsible conduct on behalf of the Alabama Health Department, which is placing women at risk.

"These two incidents should send a real wake-up call to women that American abortion mills are predatory in nature and are willing to sacrifice the health and safety of women in order to compete for the ever- dwindling abortion dollar," said Newman. "If they kill babies for a living, they really are not going to care about the woman, either, except in how they may exploit her and her wallet. Abortion is a real cut- throat business – pun intended – that has profited from the devastation of far too many women and families. It must be brought to an end."
