Operation Save America Denounces Court Ruling

JACKSON,  Miss., July 31, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- The day after the court trial and conviction of 3 Christian sidewalk counselors in Jackson, Mississippi, the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the same abortion facility may continue their murderous rampage against innocent children made in the image of God. This unjust ruling came even though the abortion facility could not meet the state's statutory restrictions.

The Appeals Court ruled against the 2012 Mississippi law that required abortionists to obtain hospital privileges within 30 miles of the abortion facility. This Mississippi law, although nearly identical to similar laws in nine other states, was found to be unconstitutional. The court stated, "it would create an undue burden on women." It would force other nearby states to take on "constitutional responsibilities."

Reverend Rusty Lee Thomas, National Director of Operation Rescue National/Operation Save America (OSA), cited the fact that this same 5th Circuit Court of Appeals just recently upheld the same law in the State of Texas as constitutional. He called this new ruling, "Schizophrenic." He added, "Although extremely disappointed, I am not surprised, however. Courts throughout America under the color of law have defended the lawlessness of child sacrifice and the shedding of innocent blood since Roe vs. Wade."

Former Las Vegas Police Officer, Reverend Chet Gallagher, was one of those arrested while preaching on the public sidewalk outside of the same Jackson, Mississippi abortion mill. He was subsequently convicted in criminal court on July 28 for "Interfering with a business." In response to this ruling Rev. Gallagher quoted Job 9:24, which states, "When the land falls into the hands of the wicked He (that is, God) blindfolds its judges. If it is not He that does it, who is it?"

Rev. Gallagher went on to say, "I am honored to have been convicted of interfering with any business that murders innocent children made in the image of God. However, as long as the church is complicit in abortion, the shedding of innocent blood, we will remain at enmity with God. His just judgment includes blindfolding our own judges and ruling unjustly."
