JERSEY CITY, N.J. March 3, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, N.J., launched a new online community called "Faith in Education," today. The purpose of this community is to share positive stories about parochial schools in the United States and to inspire support and conversation around the future of Catholic education.

The website, www.havefaithineducation.com, will feature original and curated content centered on the positives of Catholic education, including feature stories from around the nation, best practices for fundraising and communication strategy, interviews with Catholic education thought leaders, organizations and foundations, and feedback from successful schools.

"Good Catholic schools don't do enough to sing their own praises, and it's up to us to tell our story more clearly," said Dr. Margaret Dames, E.d.D, Superintendent of Schools, Archdiocese of Newark. "Faith in Education is an exciting platform to do just that. By sharing positive stories about Catholic education from all over the country, St. Anthony High School is shining a light on the enduring spirit of a national community."

The site is an extension of the St. Anthony 2020 campaign, a multi-media fundraising campaign launched by St. Anthony High School in 2013. While sharing inspirational stories about its students, faculty and alumni, both online and in the media, the school more intimately realized a connection to parochial communities around the country through a common narrative of simultaneous classroom success and fundraising struggle.

"When we started working on the St. Anthony 2020 campaign, we found something to be true that we knew for a long time: there are so many other communities in the same situation we are in," said Anthony Marano, Chair, Board of Trustees, St. Anthony High School. "We wanted to create a place where people from all walks of life can come together to read positive stories from parochial communities, share and discuss."
