PORTLAND, Ore., July 23, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Mission Increase Foundation (MIF) announced today that it has moved its national headquarters to its new building in Portland, Oregon. Located at 7357 S.W. Beveland Street, Portland, OR 97223, the new location provides the growing foundation with approximately three times the space.

According to Dave Farquhar, president of MIF, the new location will allow the foundation to consolidate some of the services it offers Christian nonprofits, including an improved environment for ministries in the Portland metro area to meet and consult with MIF staff. The building will also provide MIF with an expanded training area for workshops, as well as an opportunity to interact with like-minded foundations across the country via enhanced video conferencing tools.

"Although we will be having a formal open house this fall to celebrate the work the Lord has done over the years, we look forward to visiting with ministries as they stop by for consulting," said Farquhar.

Joining MIF in their new space are staff members from longtime partner, National Christian Foundation - Portland.

"We are excited about this partnership opportunity with Mission Increase." said Forrest Reinhardt, president NCF-Portland. "This new space will allow us to be more effective as NCF -- Portland continues to expand our effort to catalyze a culture of generosity in the Northwest."

The building, purchased in January 2012, was renovated by builder Tom Clarke of Tom Clarke Construction to better fit the foundation's growing needs. "Tom is a skilled woodcraftsman and we are extremely pleased with how nicely things have turned out," Farquhar said.

The building also houses the Bevelend Street Bistro and Coffee House located on the first floor. "The atmosphere is relaxing," Farquhar said. "It's a great place to meet and catch up on business. It's going to be an added benefit for the ministries that stop by."

MIF had been located at its previous location in Lake Oswego, Oregon for over thirteen years in space donated by Pearson Financial Group.

"We are extremely grateful to Conrad Pearson and Pearson Financial Group for the use of their space for so many years." said Farquhar. "We appreciate their earnest desire to be good stewards of what they have been given and to give back to the community. The donation of so much of their office area enabled MIF not only to grow, but to serve many ministries effectively."
