SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 29 /Christian Newswire/ -- When the California Supreme Court hears oral arguments on the challenge to the State's marriage law on Tuesday March 4, Bill May, a spokesman for Stand with Children will be observing the proceedings in the courtroom. He will be available for interviews and commentary immediately after the hearing outside the court. He may also be reached on his cell phone at 415 515 9329.

"Stand with Children" is a project of the Catholics for the Common Good Institute to promote the interest of every child without exception in the marriage of his or her parents. While adults argue about benefits and privileges, children are powerless to express the natural desire every person has for a married mother and father. "Stand with Children" is co-sponsored by the California State Council of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. May has provided commentary in local and national secular and Catholic print and electronic media on issues related to marriage, family, physician-assisted suicide, embryo stem cell research and human cloning, and other issues related to human rights and the common good. He has also provided testimony before the California Legislature on many of these same issues.

Mr. May serves as chairman of Catholics for the Common Good, a national non-partisan and independent organization of lay Catholics dedicated to promoting the common good, especially in regard to the dignity of life, the primacy of the family, human rights and freedom, and solicitude for the poor and vulnerable.
