BOSTON, Aug. 18 /Christian Newswire/ -- In Albert Mason's new novel, Joseph (published by AuthorHouse) the title character is running the business his father built from the ground up into hard times. He doesn't understand the importance of customer service and working for a living. He is about to get a revelation.

Jacob Abbott was a self-made man who felt his customer paid the bills and supported the families of the people who worked for him, as well as his own family. Everyone who worked for Jacob had the same beliefs and ethics and because of it, the business thrived.

When Jacob died, the company he loved fell to his only son, Joseph. Joseph Abbott didn't understand the customer's role in business. All he knew was that he wanted the best of everything and he trusted that his father's accountant would find a way to make it happen. That's the way it had always been, why change?

That was yesterday. Today Joseph is living in a new world where the old Joseph Abbott doesn't exist. In this world, Joseph needs to find a job, a new place to live and the woman he loved in his previous life.

As Joseph Abbott adjusts to the new life thrust upon him, he realizes life without money is hard, but he also has feelings that he is finally worthwhile and he finally thinks he is where he belongs. He has made true friends with the people he has met through his new job. He has customers who rely on his knowledge and trust he will guide them to where they want to be.

He barely remembers his old life until...Will Joseph return to his life of luxury or continue where he is?
