SINGAPORE, July 2, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- Methodist and Pentecostal Pastors across Singapore were drawn to listen to Verna Linzey for four days when she arrived to speak about the reception of the Holy Spirit as confirmed by praying in the Spirit, and the Azusa Street revival of 1906. She also spoke about the move of the Holy Spirit when she herself ministered at the Azusa Street Mission site and Union Church on December 7-8, 2012 and at 214 Bonnie Brae Street on December 14, 2012. The conference was held at the Vision Church, pastored by Rev. David Lee.

Like the Day of Pentecost when 120 were gathered in the upper room, plus women and children, so Rev. Lee reports that 120 pastors and their representatives registered and attended the pastors' conference, plus hundreds more who filled the church. There was an intensity of spiritual fervor in the way corporate tongues was manifested. It was loud like a mighty rushing wind and it would not stop until long periods of time were past. There were prophecies of this spreading into neighboring Indonesia and Malaysia, overtaking China, and reaching the uttermost parts of the earth, including Wales and even the United States.

Other manifestations were shaking, vehement quaking, and extreme warmth emanating from people's bodies as hands were laid on them. Some pastors even fell down though Verna Linzey believes ushers should help them stand up.

The crux of Verna's message is that all believers have received the Holy Spirit and that all should therefore manifest the indwelling Holy Spirit by praying in the Spirit as illustrated in Acts 2:1-4, 38-39; 8:14-17; 10:44-48; and 19:1-7; as encouraged in 1 Corinthians 14:2, 4-5, 10, and 39; and as commanded in Ephesians 5:18; 6:18; and Jude 20. Rev. Linzey's international ministry team included Evangelist David Newberry of Fort Worth, Texas; Pastor Peter Greene of Cross Roads ministries in Melbourne, Australia; Evangelist Jim Linzey of Escondido, California, and others. Each took turns preaching or giving lectures on the Holy Spirit.

Verna Linzey is the author of the widely acclaimed book The Baptism with the Holy Spirit, earning her the 'Best Non-fiction of the Year' award in April, 2006, during the Azusa Street Revival Centennial.
