ENUMCLAW, Wash., April 5, 2021 /Christian Newswire/ -- Relations between the United States and Vietnam have changed drastically since the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. With current security and economic partnerships, the relationship between Vietnam and the US has been transformed, and analysts expect the countries to forge an even greater partnership in years to come--a seemingly impossible feat four decades ago.*

Vietnam veteran Don Boudreaux underwent inconceivable transformation himself after his days in Vietnam and doesn't spiritually resemble the man he once was. Boudreaux served in the US Army from 1966–1969 and fought in Vietnam from 1967–1968, before being honorably discharged after being severely wounded.

"I didn't know Christ as a young man, and my lifestyle back then was certainly proof that I was far removed from Him," Boudreaux says. "After being wounded in Vietnam, I spent seven years as a lost man before coming to know Jesus Christ and then later questioning the Lord about why he allowed me to experience war."

Boudreaux discovered that God allowed him to experience war so he could become a spiritual warrior, which reinforced his commitment to fight the good fight of faith. He wrote Vietnam and Christianity: A Vietnam Veteran's Transformation from Army Soldier to Warrior of God to share his journey and to encourage readers to live as believers in Christ while battling attacks from Satan.

"Father God works in amazing ways, and there are astonishing parallels and connections between my service in Vietnam and my life as a follower of Jesus," Boudreaux says. "My book chronicles how the Lord prepared me with unique war experiences that I could later correlate to specific Scriptures."

Boudreaux hopes his book will provide readers with insight on how to be on the lookout for attacks against Satan and how to arm themselves for spiritual warfare. With topics including artillery and helicopters, food rations and insects, and death and post-traumatic stress disorder, Vietnam and Christianity provides both lighthearted and serious content. It also introduces prophetic ministry and spiritual gifts to embolden readers to step out in faith and become warriors for Christ.
