Catholics to Protest Scandalous Speakers at Abp. Gomez's Huge Pro-'Gay,' Radical-Feminist, Pope-Subverting 'Dissent-Fest'

Cdl. Mahony's Talks Were Cancelled, But Abp. Gomez Still Plans to Let Faith-Wrecking Speakers Infect Thousands of Catholic Schoolteachers and Children

Contact: Kenneth M. Fisher, 714-491-2284, crcoa@att.net

ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb. 22, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- "What on earth is Archbishop José Gomez thinking? The world's media recently exploded with new revelations about cover-ups by his predecessor, Roger Cardinal Mahony, of horrific sex crimes against children. Abp. Gomez then relieved him of all public duties. Yet Abp. Gomez plans to bring in at least 22 scandalous speakers, many of whom Cdl. Mahony favored, to address one of America's largest Catholic events -- which thousands of young people attend!" So says Kenneth M. Fisher, chairman of Concerned Roman Catholics of America (CRCOA).

"These speakers, who undermine crucial Church teachings, will give talks at the Los Angeles Archdiocese's upcoming Religious Education Congress (REC)," Fisher explained. "We urge all faithful Catholics to come join us in protesting and leafleting these REC speakers who've scandalously dissented from Church teachings on abortion, homosexuality, contraception, women's ordination and the Pope's authority."

Fisher announced that on Saturday, February 24, 2013, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., his group will protest the annual REC, the world's largest training event for Catholic schoolteachers. (The REC will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, February 21-24. The Saturday leafleting will take place outside the Center's main exhibit hall.)

"Abp. Gomez is welcoming speakers with long track records of dissent from Catholic doctrine," Fisher noted. "These pro-'gays' and women-priest advocates will tell thousands of Catholic educators what to teach. Then these teachers will go home and infect countless innocent Catholic children with their errors."

Fisher said CRCOA members will hand out flyers that expose speakers who dissent from the Church's teachings.

Fisher invited faithful Catholics to join CRCOA's leafleting by calling him at 714-491-2284 or e-mailing him at crcoa@att.net (To be placed on CRCOA's e-mail list, go to crcoa@aweber.com)

Some Catholics have said they also want to demonstrate on the last day of the Congress, Sunday, "Those who want to should let me know," Funds are needed for this work.
